The Number 2 Barb showing area is largely underlain by volcaniclastic and sedimentary rock of the Middle Jurassic Smithers Formation, Hazelton Group. Quartz dioritic stocks, dikes and plugs of the Late Cretaceous Bulkley Plutonic Suite and Eocene felsitic intrusive rocks intrude the strata.

The Number 2 Barb showing comprises chalcopyrite and pyrite disseminated in quartz veins (to 80 centimetres) and stringers. The veins are poorly exposed as isolated rock knobs in a snow-patch on the northwest facing slope of the claims, and as proximal float in extensive felsenmeer. This system was discovered at the very tail end of the 1984 investigation. An anomalous value of 6.3 grams per tonne silver was noted from four samples collected tonne (Assessment Report 13043).

Refer to Barb (093E 109) for common details of the Barb and Sue claims.
